Before you pay
- See it in daylight and take a mechanic you trust. Drive it yourself.
- Match the chassis and engine numbers on the vehicle with the RC book.
- Check that the name on the RC is the seller’s, against their Aadhaar or licence.
- Check the FC, permit and road tax are valid, and ask for the last tax receipt.
- If a loan is running, get the bank’s NOC and Form 35 before you pay the balance.
